Understanding Entrepreneur

Meesho is social commerce platform.

Meesho is a platform in India that allows people to resell products using their social networks. Meesho is essentially a way for anyone to come and start as well as grow their social store. It could be on any social platform, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram. 

Working on various of projects and sharing thoughts with dynamic team members is always a great experience.

As a User Researcher at Meesho, I was involved generative and evaluative research. My work revolved around various projects which includes New User Activation, Community Engagement, Gamification, Navigation. I was constantly working with research team lead, product manages, product designers and data analytics to give actionable insights for creating comprehensible and delightful experience for Meesho's users (Resellers). These resellers are mostly homemakers.
Since, reports are under NDA here is the overview of project research process.

Research Direction

At Meesho, for qualitative research their were two types of research:
  • Foundational Research 
       This research consider as a pathfinding research where research team conduct             research with small sample size and tried to find the ​problem space.
  • Directional Research
       On the basis of foundational research insights the focus narrow down and then             conduct research with large sample size.​

Implementation of Research

The insights helped to enhance product experience of product. Some major impacts are improvisation of informative content for users (Introductory video), improving engagement of user on platform during pandemic (gamification) and implementation of voice-enabled search.

Side project is also an important milestone. 

Along with specific research projects I have built frameworks of resellers to understand the learning aspect of them and how it will help the design and product team to develop designing features and improve the experience of Meesho for resellers.
